Footer: The Next Step

After they put in the dirt initially, they spent the next day compacting it down, were then interrupted by rainy weather, and then commenced to dig the footer. They and I later found out that the footers had to be deeper than 12"...so I'm waiting on them to take care of that now.

Just a pic of some good 'ole compacted dirt.

They had a tarp almost long enough to cover the whole thing. Fortunately it didn't rain, and Micky and I had the pleasure of going out and removing the cover to make sure the slab got enough air.

There's no real significance to this photo. I just liked it.

And here's a picture of my foot in a footer. :). Again, it's not large enough, so I'm excited to see it full depth.
